Birmingham Scooter Syndicate

We like scooters and sometimes we even ride them, but most of the time you'll find us here talking shit. We meet every Sunday morning at Crestwood Coffee usually between 10 am and noon and sometimes during the week around town.

I am selling a 1965 Vespa Piaggio. I bought this scooter from an importer in Las Angelas almost three years ago. It is beautiful to look at, with white and deep blue two tone paint and shiny chrome. It is a "restored" Vespa from Asia. I drove it about thirty miles and it died. The problem has been diagnosed as (presumed) loss of comression; it will not start but the engine is NOT seized. Anyway it is beautiful and I always planned to fix it, but I drive a yamaha C3 and just don't have the time or money to deal with the Vespa. I paid roughly $2500 for it in July 2006, and it has been in a garage ever since and Never rained on. I am selling it for $500 OBO. It really is pretty and I hate to see it just sitting there. If you're interrested call Scott at 204-401-7753. Leave a message if I don't answer. The Vespa is located in Birmingham.
Thanks!

I understand. I had a vintage Vespa (1958). Now, I have the Yamaha Zuma 125 and Yamaha TMAX. I really want a Morpheus and would sell my modern Vespa GT for one. It's hard to beat a Yamaha for fun, service, parts availability, and economy. I love the C3. I rode one that buried the speedo well past the 45mph marker.

Good luck.

Cheers,
Art
