Birmingham Scooter Syndicate

We like scooters and sometimes we even ride them, but most of the time you'll find us here talking shit. We meet every Sunday morning at Crestwood Coffee usually between 10 am and noon and sometimes during the week around town.

Glad you like it. I replaced the p229 with a S&W .38 Special +P Air Weight. It's a nice hand cannon for my pocket. It's not as much fun to shoot but i bought it for the carry-ability.

Cheers,
Art

Thats cool. I really want a fully rifled barrel 12 ga. but i'm just a little broke. I was thinking about a rifled barrel for that 870, but they are expensive and the cantilevered scope mounts have a bad reputation. Last year Dick's ran an ad for a Mossberg 500 that came with with two barrels, one smooth with choke inserts, and the other a fully rifled cantilevered barrel for like $250 but of course they never had any instock. New England arms has some single shot fully rifled shotguns but I cant seem to find one around here and the one that I did find was expensive as hell and was crazy heavy.

That matte finished s/s 870 ran about $540.00 new so I wouldn't mess with it too much. It is one fine piece of peace of mind just as it is imo. Can one lust after a fire arm? Yup, i do.

Cheers,
Art

yep, i love that 870 the way it is. thats why i was looking at the rifled barrels with the cantilevered scope mounts. the barrels are easy to swap and i would not have to drill/tap scope mounts. the rifled barrel would be used for range time and hunting, it is worthless for home defense.

wanna trade on that Benelli?

need any parts? i've got engines, cowls, bodies, exhausts, electronics, etc. Just thought I would throw the idea at you and see if you need anything and wanted to work a trade. or you could apply the value of the shotgun towards the cost of the scooter.
