Motorsport Scooters had a 30% off sale with free shipping. Even at that savings this shock is a bank buster. But it rides so smooth. Now I have to save up for the rear shocks. Mmmm.

Yeah, I checked out that "sale" then compared their sale prices to other scooter shops' prices. Ex: The 226 exhaust was marked up to $7XX.XX bucks, which made the sale price exactly MSRP. The best deal I could find was just a few bucks less than SPD's normal pricing.
Even so, nobody's gonna give away a bitubo shock. Congrats. It's a very sensible upgrade.
I notice you have a lot of preload on the spring. I keep it soft, since that tends to keep the front tire in contact with the road better on bumpy turns. I feel this is safer if you ride on wet roads or roads with occasional gravel, etc.. Stiff helps reduce brake dive. I've found that the adjuster is for rebound damping, compression stays the same. Increase rebound for stiffer spring preload to keep the spring from decompressing the front suspension too quickly and reduce it for less spring preload. Play with the settings and see what you like best. |

Ray,
Yup, after my ride to work this morning I brought it down quite a bit. Nice catch.
Cheers,
