this gets me very very angry.
2:05 BhamWeekly: Langford opened Gus Mayer account in 1996. Credit limit was $45k. Langford exceeded that limit. #langford
2:05 BhamWeekly: Payments were made on the account but not timely. Gen. Mgr. called Langf...ord. Store eventually sued.
2:07 BhamWeekly: June 2002 store sued Langford for $49k. #langford
2:07 BhamWeekly: Langford
later paid off debt with $44k and 65 returned shirts. Langford still
has an outstanding balance at Gus Mayer. #langford
2:12 BhamWeekly: Langford still owes $10k to the store. Account is still open. #langford
2:15 BhamWeekly: When Langford did pay bills, he regularly did so in cash. His account is on hold. #langford
2:15 BhamWeekly: Langford has been in the store within the last few months to buy several suits with cash. #langford
2:15 BhamWeekly: Suits at Gus Mayer typically cost $1,000 or more. Langford recently bought several. #langford
2:20 BhamWeekly: About two months ago a federal magistrate declared Langford indigent and unable to pay legal fees. #langford 2:20 BhamWeekly: Langford's legal bills are being paid by taxpayers. #langford _________________

hee i likey. looks like a lightbulb going off.
btw, the only thing i learned from this trial is larry likes to shop. $1100 for a cardigan? i could show him a thing or two about buying sweaters at the thrift store. _________________

I got a bad feeling about this trial. I haven't heard anyone saying there was ever a quid pro quo conversation between Larry and the other 2 guys.
If they can't get him on bribery, does the IRS claim evaporate? |

an IRS guy was a witness for the prosecution and lala owes them a lot of money, he never reported the loans, so i'd say those sound fairly solid. as for this, the defense barely presented a case from looking at the twitter bits......excluding the preacher and the little old lady who used a walker. each were used a character witnesses and said that lala was an honest man. the defense also tried to use the preacher as a fall guy for the suits that lala got, saying that lala gave him the suits. that kinda backfired though when the judge asked were the suits new or used and he admitted that some were used. I think in the end, the jurors will have to weigh how much of a dick the blount and lapierre are versus how much of a did lala is, if they come up with that they are all equal dicks, lala should get convicted. if they believe the little old librarian from fairfield then he is in good shape. i bet he pleads out before morning.
