The avalanches are a great Australian band that I fell in love with in college in 2001 (a friend made me a copy of Since I Left You about a month before 9/11 and he had to buy the album from ebay since it hadn't hit stateside yet, that album helped me get through the 2 months afterwards in NY). The album is briliant on the whole, and at the time, was doing some amazing mixing.
I had completely forgot about these guys. Thanks for reminding me to pull out the album again and give it a listen
